now allows you and your accountant, bookkeeper or co-workers to access real-time data and work simultaneously within Sage 50 from any location. Watch this short “Multi-User Remote Data Access ” video below to discover new ways to collaborate.
Sage ID makes it easier for you to connect to bank feeds, access data remotely, share company data and add customer payment options.
You'll be prompted to connect or login before using a connected service. If you already use a Sage online service or application you'll already have a Sage ID, if not it's simple to set up. With your email and password you can quickly create a unique Sage ID, linking together all the Sage services that you are already registered for. Sage ID provides secure authentication for single sign on to connected services. You'll no longer need multiple logins and passwords for each individual connected service such as Remote Data Access (formerly Sage Drive, Bank Feeds and or invoice payment services). It works similarly to a Google ID or Apple ID which you might be familiar with.
You’ve asked us for the ability to make adjustments to a posted Account Reconciliation. Starting with this release 2020.2, you can now undo Account Reconciliations to correct errors.
Watch the “What’s New ” video below for more details on the improvements in the product update for Sage 50cloud Accounting (version 2020.2) or read the Product Update document (PDF) .

When i try to open sage 50 a window pops up saying this shared company is already open?
I updated to sage 50 2020 version so did my bookkeeper in a different province now i get a message saying this shared company is already open.
Hi AMFinc, thanks for reaching out. Perhaps this applies, customers who use Sage Drive are required to go through cloud on-boarding as the function is transitioned to the new Remote Access. Please ensure there are NO special characters (/, //, = etc) in the company file or else this will trigger an error. Please edit out any of those special characters from the company name and try the cloud on-boarding process again. Also see, see KB105575 - "Error: "Unable to open company file" when attempting to convert Sage Drive files to 2020.2"
Hi CHEFCO, if you have Sage Drive see KB105575 - "Error: "Unable to open company file" when attempting to convert Sage Drive files to 2020.2" with instructions. Basically, you need to bring the data offline to convert and then re-upload. Regarding a password, (This may also apply to Marion Mury's comment below):Note that converting your Sage 50 CA data requires you to be in single user mode, sysadmin (is the default user*). The software would have required a password be set for the sysadmin user. If this is unknown, a password override request can be asked of the support team. KB10362 "What can I do if I forget or lose my password?" here provides you with additional details. You can contact Technical Support at 1-888-522-2722 to request a password override which is a chargeable service if you're not on an active Sage Business Care plan.Any Norton Anti-virus user should also see KB10554 "Sage 50 2020.2 crashes with no error message after I select a company file and try to open it" .If you require further support from here, please contact Sage Support via online chat or phone (please note that the Sage 50 CA support phone number is 1-888-522-2722) during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm ET)
