Antivirus Exclusion for Sage

I have got a server where I would like to install antivirus.

I have got sage X3 installed on the server.

Can someone please provide me any advice on how should I move forward with this?

Are there any important files/folder that I need to exclude for this so that there will not be any issues after anti-virus installation?

Please let me know about any configuration that needs to be done before and after the antivirus installation regarding sage product.

Thank you in advance.

This is from the Sage Architecture Guide here ;:

Antivirus If you install an antivirus protection on Sage X3 servers, we recommend disabling real-time protection on some parts of the Application/Main Process server and Additional Process servers for best performance. Perform scheduled scans on realtime scanning excluded areas overnight when there are few or no users logged on.

Exclude the following directories from real-time protection if active: • The \folders directory on the Application server(s) and all its subdirectories (X3 objects, temp files, trace files, etc.); •

The \runtime directory and its subdirectories (runtime engine, temp files, trace files) on all Process servers (including Main one).
