Is there an "inactivity" or "timed-out" setting on AccPac/Pervasive?

Hi everyone,

We are a small setup (with about 5 concurrent users) with an antiquated AccPac version 5.4A/Pervasive 9.6 system. This has been running well, until the network guys segmented the AccPac client-users to a separate VLAN from the servers.

Previously the clients and servers are all in one subnet. Now, there is a firewall between them. A simple firewall rule is set to allow all ports between the two subnets (just for testing), and we start to encounter issues with individual users when they stopped using AccPac for about 45 minutes or longer. There is no issue if they have been using AccPac continuously. As these issues happen with one or two users, the others can still continue to work on AccPac (if they have been using it, without long breaks).

Typical issues are a pop-up that says "Run-time error 'o'" or the AccPac window will just hang.

Would appreciate if someone can give some pointers on the troubleshooting or configuration.

Regards,

John
