Access the Sage Customer Portal and Register then Activate Sage 50CA!

The Sage Customer Portal is used by Sage Customers to access:

  • Product downloads (via the Knowledgebase)
  • Product and payroll updates
  • Patches/hot fixes
  • Product documentation
  • Knowledgebase articles
  • Customer Service and Support chat (if offered)

*A valid support plan is necessary in order to access to support

  • Service requests and support tickets
  • Service plan information
  • Product serial numbers and activation codes
  • Product registration (for retail products only)

 Please follow the steps below to Sign up for access to the Sage Customer Portal:

  1. Go to
  2. Click on Sign up for an Account
  3. If you already have an account ID with Sage, choose I am an existing Sage Customer.
    • If you just purchased a Sage product from retail (Sage 50) and have never used Sage before, choose I am a new Sage Customer.
    • If you purchased the product directly from Sage, choose I am an existing Sage Customer and use the account ID on the product activation email sent to you.
  4. Fill out the fields on the next page, noting that the email address you will be using will be your Customer Portal user ID by default.
  5. After singing up, you will receive an email with an activation link you will need to click on to activate your access.
  6. After clicking the activation link and logging on, you will receive a final email to confirm that your access has been activated.

NOTE*: It might take up to a maximum of 30 minutes before you are able to access gated/restricted content on the Portal such as product downloads and updates. If you are getting errors trying to access these resources, please log off, close your browser windows, and log on again after 30 minutes.

 Access to Sage 50 Downloads and Updates

To access downloads and updates, you must get to the Sage Knowledgebase. Once there see the top right side corner for the My Downloads button, from the dropdown select your product line and wait for downloads and updates to show.

Customer Portal Chat Access

If you're logged into the Sage Customer Portal, see the links "chat with us… " on the right side middle from the main screen.

 Alternatively, the Sage Knowledgebase can also provide you with access to Chat services. See the middle of the right hand side of the screen for a "Chat" icon as shown below.

Registering your Sage 50 on the Customer Portal

Note: If you purchased your software directly from Sage, your activation information should have been sent to you by the sales agent, after your purchase. Skip to Step III.

  1.  There are two ways to register Sage 50 Accounting:
    1. Register online at  Sage Customer Portal
    2. Call 1-888-261-9610 (Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time)
  2. Following registration, you will receive a registration confirmation email containing your activation information.
  3. Install Sage 50 onto your PC computer and follow the prompts for activation where you`ll need to fill out the following fields.
