If you are in an unfortunate situation where the complete folder backup is not set yet, call for full day downtime with the client.
Use SSMS (for SQL Server client) to update data type table for the DES data type's length of the affected folder.
Then from X3 folder, run folder validation (VALDOS) on affected folder.
Note: Dictionary Validation (VALDICO) does not work since Data Type validation is not inside.
[For Sage X3 Developer reference; for client, ask your Sage partner. Special thanks to Teh Jin Yang for figuring this out]
Alternatively, in X3, open `.src` file, `SUBATY`, and look for `Subprog VALIDATION(DOSSIER)`. Manually set the `DOSSIER` to affected endpoint and compile. On the `DES` data type, from any folders, press the `Validation` button. Check if ok. If ok, revert and recompile without the hardcoded endpoint.
Future step is basically what Nzou said or ban client from accessing Development module by removing access to it either through Navigation Page or Functional Authorization/Menu Profile.
