2019 R5 Update (Patch 12.0.20)
IMPORTANT DELIVERY: PLEASE READ!
This delivery contains important changes to the Runtime and to standard patch upgrade methodology.
1. CUMULATIVE PATCHING - EASY UPDATE
This delivery includes a new way of updating Sage X3: Cumulative Patching. Please read the documentation before you upgrade:

- GESAUPD documentation in the product's Online Help
If your instance is 2019 R4 or higher, it is now mandatory to use Easy Update (Administration > Updates > Updates) to upgrade your instance.
If your instance is older than 2019 R4, you need to upgrade to 2019 R4 first, and then update to 2019 R5 or higher using the instructions in this documentation.
Easy Update with Cumulative Patching uses the Patch Catalog and is a new, optimized way to upgrade your Sage X3 instance to the desired version, in a single patch.

2. NEW ENHANCED RUNTIME 92
This delivery contains a new version of the Sage X3 Runtime with major changes. Please review the documentation before you upgrade.
The new Runtime contains the following enhancements amongst other fixes and improvements:
- Ability to compile larger scripts ("Error 128" issue)
- Ability to create table indexes referencing columns beyond the 256th position
- adx file format changes
Please note a script (.adx) compiled using the new Runtime (92) cannot be executed by previous versions of the Runtime. It is therefore mandatory to install the new Runtime with the Sage X3 2019 R5 (12.0.20) patch as it contains scripts compiled using the new format.
