The new Tax File (Version 202301) for Zambia, effective 1 January 2023, is now available on the Software Downloads page.
The latest tax file includes tax tables effective 1 January 2023 and and increase in Disability Tax Credit. Click here to review the Additional Information document for this tax files release.
Take note: the NAPSA earnings ceiling has also changed as from 1 January 2023, click here here for more information to implement this change (not included in the tax file).
Before installing the new tax file, take note of the following:
- Your payroll software must be on Release 5.9a
- Your payroll company should be in a new pay period before installing the new tax tables
- Always make a Full System Backup before installing new tax files to your system folder
How to download the tax file from the Software Downloads page:

- Select the Africa tab
- Click here to download the installation instructions
- Click on the Download button next to Zambia Tax changes for Premier: R59a (January 2023 - Tax File Version 202301)
- Follow the installation instructions to complete the installation
- Ensure to do a General Recalculation when accessing your company, prior to finalising your payroll.
