Unfortunately once a pay run is finalized you cannot do corrections to the pay run. 

Well that's appreciated. However, is it logical to be able to remove the payrun altogether and redo a correct one...?

Unfortunately you cannot delete a pay run once it has been finalized. You can revert the pay run but cannot delete it once it has been finalized. 

Well noted. How do you revert the payroll yet the option is blurred? Please assist.

you will only be able to revert a pay run before the following pay run is finalized. select pay run > then select the three dots icon to open the available options and select revert pay run. You can only revert a pay run if the following period pay run has not been finalized.
