Hi all,

We are using Homepages to create dashboards for users with our Sage X3 solution.

I've been asked to find a way to filter the existing dashboard data by 2 different axes: by Site and by service.

- we have 3 physical sites with multiple sites (CITY A: CITYA01 & CITYA02 / CITY B: CITYB01 & CITYB02 / CITY C: CITYC01 & CITYC02).

- we have different services: manufacturing, sales, etc.

We would like to create dashboards using our current dashboard data for CITY A, CITY B and CITY C, allowing only employees of the related cities to view the dashboards. And another view with employees from Manufacturing, etc.

From what I understand: Functions profiles are linked to Users and Roles define access for Homepages. We have some Profiles functions defined with their city names.

I am wondering what the best way would be to define / filter users for this matter.

What is the difference in-between Groups and Roles?

At what level should I define the City belonging?

What if we want to filter by City and service?
