hmac-sha256 encryption

Is there a function or a script in Sage X3 4gl language, that would allow me to encrypt a string with sha256 hash and a secret key? In other languages it is usually called hmac-sha256.

hey man! do you have any 4GL examples that you can give to me so I can see how you execute the javascript code from sage code?

It depends on what version of X3 you are in. In newer versions of X3 there is an online help article titled "Javascript Extensibility example: crypto bundle" that will explain how you can leverage SHA1 encryption. The type of encryption is a parameter and documentation to the cryptography library used is provided in the help article.

I have the V7 and I recently have discovered that it is possible to execute Javascript from Sage code, and I did it with some success. I think that what you say is excatly what I need right now, do you have a link to that article?
