Is there a 3rd party multiple contacts add on?

Is there a 3rd party multiple contacts add-on to Sage 300 someone can recommend?  We don't not want to use the Sage version because we don't want to switch to a subscription.

Can I ask why you dont want to move to subscription, we believe Sage will most likely remove the perpetual option at some point. Also how do you justify to clients paying maintenance and never receiving any new features?  Just trying to help understand whats best for customers.

I’ll preface this with I’m an end customer not a partner. The reason Sage and every other company makes their product subscription based is money. It benefits them and their shareholders more than the end customer.

We, as a company, believe it’s an asset to own and have full control over our software and data. We don’t have the never-ending expense of maintaining subscriptions. We don’t have to worry about a subscription server or any other cloud service going down and not having access to our data. We like having control over any outage that may occur, rather than at the mercy of another company to restore their service. We can walk away from maintenance support at any time and still have our software and data intact for years.

When it comes to missing out on new features. When I read the release notes of every new release it appears they’re just adding features to the web screens that already exist in the desktop version.  We don’t feel like we are missing out much. Between 3rd party products and in-house customizations we regularly add new functionality/usability to Sage.

I hope there are more customers and people out there like us that are sick of subscriptions and refuse to switch.

100000% agree with you.  We have been building our own apps and solutions for years because Sage is only interested in building web solutions and not interested in fixing things that we have been advising about for years.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.

I have been in the sage community for a while and it took me a long time to come to idea of subscription but given its how all companies price now I have been swayed.

I just want to clear up that Sage 300 does not have Software as a Service -you will always have your data on your site.  Also with the microsoft changes these days unless you are leaving your sage on a machine that is never updated (security risk) you wont be able to guarantee it stays intact. You would only lose access to your data if you stopped paying maintenance and running unsupported software is a business risk.

The latest new features just to name a few

    - Multiple contacts

    - Gl Journals Tax Integration

    - Sage Banking Cloud

Accept payments through online providers. You can now accept payments from your customers through online payment service providers such as PayPal and Stripe. If you use this feature, invoices include a Pay Now button that your customers can click to pay using any online provider you have set up for your company in Sage 300

    - reserving lanpaks for a user

I agree that the web screens are not really that great yet, and their efforts are concentrated on this.

I do hope for customers like yourself that it does not become compulsory.

Most of our sites have customisations and 3rd party apps and this has been unaffected if a customer moves to a subscription.

Its great to hear a customers perspective, thank you!

    Thanks

    Stacey

Sage terms, as far as I understand, are that if you stop the subscription then (after the period where they confirm this is your wish etc ) you lose access to creating new data. You dont lose read access to the data, ever.
