Sage 300 2023 pu 5 Printing ODBC reports shows Failed to open the Connection

I have just upgraded a client to Sage 300 ERP 2023 pu5

When I print a pipe delimited report or form to preview it works fine, but when I print an ODBC based report it shows "Failed to open the connection".

It doesn't matter if it is a custom report or a standard form out of the box, same error message.

    Hi Skuman, 

    Not sure what module your report is based on.. but in each program module there is a "rpt.ini" file (eg. for Order Entry there is an oerpt.ini file in the OEXX directory.

    if the Datapipe (or odbc report) is an invoice form (example OEINV01.rpt) you can edit the ini file and locate the appropriate section (eg OEINV01)

    edit to :

    save it and try the report.. if you have a customization directory make sure that this file is also copied into the appropriate directory.

    Same goes for the other modules such as Purchase Orders (PO).
