During purchase order entry client is manually entering one item numbers at a time...is it possible to copy a list of items from Excel and paste directly into Sage Purchase Order?
We developed a program for one of our clients. It imports a csv file into a Purchase Order. The client starts by creating an excel spreadsheet, following a specific template of 6 or 7 fields, then they save the excel file as a csv file and run this import program to import the csv file. It works well.
but there is already an import function using an excel file directly into PO entry. no need for external processes. We import any PO larger than say 10 lines as it's so simple to use.
Yes I agree that the feature exists - but sometimes people struggle with excel importing and want a solution that is still driven by excel but removes the typical issues associated with importing excel files into Sage, like incorrect field typing etc.
At Acumen we have an entire suite of Excel tools for every module. Accountants love their spreadsheets.
