Email setting questions

Sage 300 V2024 with PU1.

Can't send email.

Client is using Gmail Business Account.

Has anyone successfully setup such in latest version of Sage 300?

Sage tech's answer is: "old authentication methods of “Usernames/Password” have been deprecated. We did not discontinue it, the mail providers did. you will need to work with your Managed Service Provider to establish setup via Microsoft Graph. Multi Factor Authentication will not be available or will be looked at in Sage 300 until at least August 2024."

Please help.

Hi digitmasters Yes I've had success with this with a customer that uses Gmail for Business. You have to enable an App Password for the mailbox and use that for configuring the credentials to send out, along with the usual smtp.gmail.com on port 587. Sage 300 2024 support TLS 1.2 so you don't need a wrapper like Stunnel.
