We set this up once with a UDF added to the AP invoice data entry for the SO# (because the data from the carrier didn't have the invoice #), with the UDF flowing through to the GL.  I then wrote a report that groups invoiced freight and posted AP freight by SO#, and they do their review that way.  Watch for multiple invoices per SO.

Oh... if your AP data has Tracking #, you could use that (UDF, flow to GL history) for the link instead of SO#.

Thanks, Kevin.  Instead of going the AP route, since StarShip has my negotiated freight rates with UPS - can I have it write back those negotiated rates to a SO Invoice UDF that would be available for reporting?  I don't know what happens to that data after posting. 

I don't know what StarShip options there are for writing data back to Sage.  For sure they can put in Tracking data, and if you can get them to write the value you want as a comment (or to a UDF), that data could flow to invoice history.
