Can you run it at night when no one is in Sage 100?  At times having people in the system and processing will lock files causing a report to run slower.

We found that SI is not so great and started using F9.

64 companies is going to be a challenge in SI, especially with only 8GB RAM.

I'm sorry but there is no magic bullet here, life is going to be tough with SI.

Increasing the RAM will help a great deal. I had a report that took 30 mins to run on 8GB when I upgraded the RAN to 32GB took 2 mins.

How much RAM do you have on your stand alone?

What version of Excel do they have and is it x32 or x64?

You can add a filter to the Opening Balances, Actuals & Budgets Sub Reports to pull the current and Prior Fiscal Year from the GL.Options file.

I have 12gb of ram in my machine

we both run excel 2016 32 bit

And I did filter for only current & prior year

If their work stations are Multi Processors would totally recommend them upgrading Excel to x64.

The 8GB ram is the biggest issue. Excel is a dog with that amount and that's probably were the majority of run time is coming from. Maybe recommend increasing it on the user's work station who will be running the report?

All great suggestions. At the risk of explaining the obvious just make sure the report is using Sage Intelligence formulas and not copied formulas from FRx. I've seen reports that were using copied FRx formulas and the run time was much longer, similar to what you have described. Once we changed the formulas to Sage Intelligence ones the report ran quickly.  Again, my guess is you are using SI formulas but I just want to make sure that point is checked.
