Quality Control Approval Post Delivery

One industry practice that I've seen at more than a couple of clients is that they will delivery the goods to the client in advance of the lab completing the technical sheet. Through the stock management rules we are able to setup the system to allow the delivery of Q status inventory but what I can't get around is when the quality control record is not completed when I attempt to create the delivery I get the message that a "Stock line subject to an analysis request" and it stops the process. Does anyone have a work-around for this business requirement?

Kevin, I am just curious, are you only looking to create the delivery record before the QC is done, or are you planning on validating the delivery before the QC is done?

    Hi Mike,

Yes, the desire would be to validate the delivery so invoicing could take place against it that same day.  Looking back over my notes I think where we landed was to disposition a small sample to the lab through the technical sheet (i.e. there was a 5000 kg batch produced, 4999 kg were dispositioned to an "A" status through the work order production tracking and 1 kg was dispositioned to a "Q" status.)  Then all the subsequent QC actions would take place against that 1 kg sample.
