X3 Financial Report Designer performance

I have a SI report using the X3 Financial Report Designer that is taking 25 mins to refresh.

I have recorded a profile, and the step that is taking longest is the "Data Ranges Named" which is taking 17 minutes alone. The hidden rows are only a few seconds or zero.

Looking at the hidden sheets, the ACF data is under 3000 rows, whereas the ACA data has 190,000 rows. The data load is loading the current & previous years data which is required for the report.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this bottleneck?

Hi Carmen,

I am trying the steps you suggest to reduce the data size.

I am filtering out the balance sheet accounts and re-running the app now.

Are there any recommendataions on the RAM on the client machine as the machine only has 4GB ram, and/or using 64-bit or 32-bit versions of Excel.
