Sage Summit C-139 Prepare For Inifitiy And Beyond

2 minute read time.

I'm out at the Sage Summit conference this year getting to know some of the most interesting people I'll ever meet in my life. That includes customers and partners of ours. When you stop to think about it, we get a chance to help people in unique and interesting ways. For example, this week at Summit I was in the Support center non-stop. We opened and closed that place! At that time we served more than 600 appoitements (not all for X3, big shout out to my fellow Support buddies in Sage 500, 300, 100, 50 and more!). It's by far, one of the more popular aspects of the Sage Summit for our customers. I have to give Kudos to my cohort Craig Smith on the Sage ERP X3 product line for the amazing effort he put in. Lynne Adamson, our boss in X3 Support showed up at the Support center and greeted our customers too. Putting a name to the face really does help, there is no doubt. As for me, I have to admit, hearing how our customers use Sage ERP X3 to achieve their business goals never gets old.

Ok, having said all of that, tomorrow is my presentation on X3, performance and SQL Server. Yes, it has a fairly zany title, that's ok, I'm a fairly zany guy. But, here's what I recommend to anyone that might attend the presentation tomorrow:

  1. Bring some coffee. I don't know if we'll have coffee inside the room (remember, I've not left the Support center all dang week!).. But, really, it's at 8:30 in the morning, on the last day of the Summit.... trust me on this, you'll want a double cup
  2. Just when you thought you had too much coffee, have some more. Did I mention it is at 8:30 AM?
    1. Oh, and I'll be going pretty dang fast on this presentation as there is a BUNCH of material....... AT 8:30 AM!!! (WOW)
  3. I'll be bringing my flash drive with my scripts and powerpoint on it. You are more than welcome to borrow it and copy the files off. The files zip will be attached to this post too.

And finally, please bring ideas for what you'd like to see for next year's Summit presentations, that you'd like me to present. I promise you, I take this seriously. If you send me a good idea, don't be suprised if I develop that into a presentation and credit you for the inspiration. Heck, feel free to comment on this post with your ideas for next year's performance related topics.

I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone after the presentation. Be sure to say hi.

Attached to this post is the presentation, enjoy!. Oh, I'll likely write blog posts on some of these topics at a later time too.
