Data File Rebuild

SUGGESTED
Posted By FormerMember

When doing a data file rebuild, is there a specific order that the modules need to be rebuilt and when doing the accounts payable module, does the cash management module need to be rebuilt also?

The AP rebuild can be done alone or with the CM

Hi Sharyn-  Just to follow up on the conversation we had on your case and via email, rebuild AP also rebuild CM.  If you go to CM you will get a message referring you to do the rebuild in AP.  And as Vince Settipane already mentioned, the AR, IC, and OE are also tied together, BUT there is a special order for those modules.  You want to rebuild those modules in this order AR first, IC next, OE last.  But you do not use those modules, so you are ok.  Also, this information is available on our Knowledge Base at support.na.sage.com with article #17418 "How and when to rebuild Sage BusinessWorks company data files" if you need to refer to it for future reference.

    Have a nice day!

Vince - you are correct.  The AP can be rebuilt on its own.  Just a little clarification - the CM is actually tied together with the AP module and not the GL.  And if you are rebuild AR,IC and OE, they are all tied together and the correct order to rebuild them is:  AR, IC, then OE.
