sage300 OE performance Issue

we are running sage300 2017 with the latest PU.

We are experiencing system freeze mostly when users are performing entries using OE.

we have set the Day END to run using DAY periodic function instead of during posting, this still did not resolve the issue.

Our DB size is 20GB, which isn't big but we are now looking to purge.

How will purging affect the other modules?

will we be able to retrieve historic info for cus and items?

in addition, our server resources are at an estimate of 20-40% during any system freeze.

is there any other suggestion to resolve our system freeze /

  • Is it a fresh workstation installation?

    What about performance in Server for the same user login?

    If you had upgraded from older version, pls see any old path in environment settings. May be system is confused with multiple paths. 

    Database setup and workstation installation, did you use server name or IP address?

    Yes it's a fresh installation, we were having the same issue the other workstation so we change the pc.

    This issue is spontaneous so it hard to recreate on the server 

    we checked the old path in environment settings all is well there { please confirm where to check]

    We are using the server name, should we try IP?
