Check the registry of the workstations in problems

We sometimes have to add two string values like this:  Where gumapps is your server name

This has worked for us in the past.

Set Accpac.exe to run as administrator

We sometimes get this when the user first signs in.

If the user tries the sign in a few times it eventually works.

I put this down to the fact that the user tried to get in too quickly before the system has had time to load all what it is supposed to load - maybe the system is doing something (checks) before the full connection is made.

But in our experience it will always work after a few tries. 

If you're having to do that, then something is seriously wrong with your network. NONE of my clients have ever had the problem, it either works or it doesn't.

Your suggestion worked PERFECTLY!!!  This is the exact situation that I have.  Checked the Current_User key on an affected workstation, mine, and these keys were left default with no additional data there.  If a new user logged onto the workstation, it would work just fine.  Running it as admin would work OK.  Sage should really include this piece of information in their FAQs.

I had these values under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ACCPAC International, Inc.\ACCPAC\Configuration

I am going to incorporate the registry changed into my logon scripts so that the values get written to the appropriate place in the registry for the users.

Jay this works on lots of sites, but I find it has limitations.  they cant see shared drives etc.  Windows 8 with sage 2014 running as admin didnt work.  seems to be something weird on every site these days
