I keep getting the same error when I run maintenance

Has anybody else had any issues with a recurring error? We updated our Sage to the latest version and have had no end of issues. We backup our data every night through a remote backup and every morning when I log in I get a notice to say we have an error.

It is always the same error "Total on order disagrees with total on order in stock files.- Purchase Order total on order is 0.00 less than total on order in stock files". I always use recovery tools and the error goes but you can guarantee it will be back tomorrow.

We've called Sage plenty of times and they don't seem interested as the error does fix itself when Recovery Tools are ran but surely this shouldn't be happening. Can anyone help or is this happening to anyone else?

  • Hi Claire,

Thanks for using our Product Support Community.

If there are any errors reported in Check Data, these indicate corruption in your data. For full steps on how to fix these, you can refer to the following link: https://my.sage.co.uk/public/mydata.aspx

There are several reasons why data may become corrupt within Sage Accounts. You can find full info here to assist you in identifying the possible causes of corruption and how to prevent this going forward.

  • Hi Paul,

No this hasn't helped. Our data has been sent off investigation and currently has two teams looking at it. Someone looked at it last week and couldn't see anything wrong with it.

As I've said, since updating we've had nothing but trouble!!
  • Ok, thanks Claire. Our Developers will get back to you with the results of their investigation.
