Do you have a backup?

I can't even find that in the computer.  We've always backed up to the cloud.  I am so disappointed.  Can't get any support on the phone and the live chat just sends an article and hangs up.

Backed up to the sage cloud or to something like google drive? If it is on the sage one you might be able to connect to a shared company.  

I still cannot share our company. Being able to restore from the backup is what has saved me to be able to get in.  After the las sage problem in July I started making a backup twice a day just in case something went side ways again. Hope you are able to find a way to get in. 

Does anyone have an answer?  This shared system is becoming a problem. I have spent more time on this than needed.  There is no one else one the shared file but its says its already open. the help suggestions do not help either

I am having the same problem . Paid for support and get none. SAGE sucks

I am the sysadmin and I have all the computers in front of me.  Not one is running Simply.

Same issue. Sage please fix.

Thanks for reaching out, hopefully you already came across the steps in this article which applies to the below issues including the one you experienced: Error "This shared company is already open."

The main step involves accessing the computer which last accessed the file. It likely has the most recent copy of your data.  Disconnect the computer from the internet and see the KB for step by step instruction on how to save a copy of the disconnected data so that you can reopen it. 

Once the file opens and you've verified that it has recent work, reshare it onto Remote Data Access using the steps in this blog on how to replace or re-share a Sage 50 CA company file for Remote Data Access. Hope this helps!

I am having the same problem now and have looked at the steps in this article (KB 107248). I got as far as trying to save a copy, however, I got a message that says the transaction could not be processed because the company database could not be found. So once again a dead end. 

This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Every time there is some sort of update or change to either the PC or Sage there's always a problem.

I too am having the same issues.  Spent hours on phone today with no resolution.  When you try to reshare the company it says it is already shared.

Hi, I solved the problem with your colleague and then my colleague wanted to access the company and the same problem occurred! He didn't even manage once to get access. Fortunately we always make a back-up and have been working with that again but we need to both have access at all times on the shared company and that doesn't work! 

I try to open the shared company online and for a long time it says: 'Please wait while we synchronize and update your data' and then it says: 'This shared company is already open.'
