ODBC EXCEL 64 BIT AND 32 BIT

Question

Can someone please assist. 
 I think there are few companies still running systems on 64 bit Excel. 
 Why can't I run or create my ODBC queries on Excel 64 bit? Who would want to downgrade to get results? 
 Is there another way arround this issue please.

 Why is there no 64-bit ODBC driver available for Sage VIP? 
 
 If there is a work-around or other way, it will not form part of the core design of the Sage VIP application.
