Nigeria 2022 tax table update - Minimum wage

Good day,

I had a look at the update for Nigeria and noticed that the annual minimum wage has been set to 3 600 000 NGN.  According to my knowledge the current minimum wage in Nigeria is 360 000 NGN per annum ie 30 000 NGN per month.  Kindly advise if I missed the gazette notice where this has been changed for 2022 as I cannot find it in the signed amendments to the Finance Act.

    Thank you for making contact with us using the Sage city forum. There are no tax changes for Nigeria 2022, values in the table are the same as in 2021. There was an error in the National Minimum Wage value for 2022 in the tax file as was set to: 3600000 instead of 360000. This resulted in no tax being calculated when you roll into 2022.

    In order to correct this you need to install the Nigeria tax file for 2022 that was released in January 2022. Please click here for the link to download the Nigeria tax file. 

    When you open the link, click on Africa tab and download the "Nigeria tax file for 2022 for Premier and Sage200c: R57a (January 2022)" file and install in your payroll folder.
