We have identified an issue with the IRP5 report on Sage VIP Classic and Premier. A patch file is available to resolve the error message.

Scenario:

You use the IRP5/IT3 Report (Real Number 507) to generate the IRP5 file to import into e@syFile.

During the export process, you can select to browse to another location to save the IRP5 file. If you select the alternate location (not the VIP system folder), your receive the following error message:

Solution:

A patch file is available for Sage VIP Premier and Classic Release 5.2a

• We recommend that you make a Full System Backup before extracting any files
• Click on the link below for your specific payroll application, to download the patch file to your computer - be sure to take note of the location where you are downloading the file.
• Take note, installing the incorrect file might lead to unwanted error messages

• Once the file has been downloaded, double-click on the file to open it
• Click on "Extract" or "Unzip" (dependant on the default application for .zip files) and select the extraction destination to be your Tax Year-end Copy System  folder
• When prompted to overwrite the files, say "Yes"
• This will copy the files into your system folder
• Run the IRP5/IT3a Report again to test

Take note:

• The file should be installed to your Tax-year End Copy System folder
• The RSA Submission Tool IRP5 export report will not result in the error message.
• This issue does not effect Sage 200c VIP users

Work-around (if patch file is not installed):

• When you receive the error message, the IRP5 import file is still created in the system folder, and can be copied from the system folder to the alternative directory.
• If you do not change the export location, you will not get the error message
