  1. Instant Employee Payments: Could you please provide guidance on how to set up and process instant payments for employees through the Sage Payroll platform and Linkage of Sage Accounting?

  2. Email Query Review Delays: I have noticed that there have been delays in the review of queries sent via email to the Sage Payroll support team. Can you please shed some light on the reasons for these delays and any possible steps that can be taken to expedite the response time?

    Great questions you have there!

    In the product group for Sage Business Cloud Payroll, we have the ACB payment method. Here's how it works: you simply indicate in the product that you want to pay your employees via the ACB method. On the pay date, you'll extract a file from Sage Business Cloud Payroll and import it into your business bank account. If you want to learn more about the ACB method, check out our announcement here.

    Secondly, we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our support team. If you have any escalations that require investigation, please provide us with a reference number so we can track your escalation with our support team. Please note that the investigation process can take up to 24-48 hours, depending on the complexity of the issue.

    After the ACB file has been extracted from Sage Business Cloud Payroll what is the process when importing it into our business bank account?

     Firstly, it is important to note that the ABC method supports the following banks:

    • First National Bank online enterprise
    • Standard bank business online
    • ABSA business integrator online
    • ABSA Barclays, and Capitec

    After extracting the file from our product, it is necessary to reach out to one of these banks for guidance on importing the file into the bank.

    Let me just say that it should be done at the time of paying your employees, whether it is on a monthly, weekly, or bi-weekly basis. If you use the ACB payment method, ensure that payments are made at the appropriate time.
