Hi Marc,
Kindly advise if this is returned for an employee that has gone on Maternity Leave or Illness leave.
Hi Daurayne,
The employee is on maternity leave.
Hi Marc,
You will have to exclude this employee from the electronic file and issue a manual UI19 for her. The reason why you are receiving this error is due to the Import platform is looking for a termination date, which is contrary to the the information in the UIF Electronic Declaration Specification.
As with the electronic file for SARS that conforms to a BRS spec, UIF has something similar - please see attached the UIF Electronic Declaration Specifications that our electronic file is written from. Please refer to page 8, to the paragraph: 8270 - Date Employed To.
In this Paragraph it states that if your employment status 01, 09 or 10 the the date employed to is not required.
As far as our understanding goes, this is still the only gazetted spec, and up to the point where a new gazette gets published, we can't change the file.
The spec can be viewed below:
Hi Duarayne,
There must be an updated for you can let us have the details to as this was 2002. There have been additional codes added to UIF since date of publication? Perhaps the Development Team have a copy you can upload for us.
Many thanks
Sean
Hi Sean,
The file attached is the only document available that has been published by the department. This is the only document the development team has as well.
If you are aware of an updated document or where the department has published it please let me know.
I have found an updated document that appears to be what UIF is working on Version E03 (Implementation date 01 April 2003) which states that the EMPLOYED TO DATE must be included.
