Sage Pastel POS SQL

Hello,

I am trying to install the POS SQL software on a workstation. The software however, requires that the system must have installed a Sage 50c Pastel Software. Is this a compulsory requirement for a workstation. I thought POS tills is a standalone software. I noticed that the POS access version can be installed independently without Sage.

Please confirm.

    Good day Akin,

    You can install POS SQL as a stand alone on a workstation provided that POS SQL and Sage 50c are installed on the server. The POS workstation will need an SQL instance on the server to connect to. Do not run the SQL installation on the workstation as it will use the instance created on the server.
