We're currently on Sage300 2020 Standard PU8.

We sell serialized products; devices from vendors that already come with serial numbers, which we have to input into the system, currently by way of scanning bar codes. We have no use for serial number auto generation.

Would anyone have a solution that would enable import of serial numbers from a text or Excel file when doing a Receipt Entry (under P/O Transactions) and Order Entry & Shipment Entry (under O/E transactions)? Or copying & pasting multiple serial number lines in one go (you can currently only copy & paste a line at a time)? Scanning thousands of bar codes is tiring, time consuming and frustrating when vendors already make the serial numbers available to us on file (mostly Excel format) even before we receive the goods. However, there's no way we can take advantage of this as Sage300 doesn't have any functionality that allows us to import from file or copy & paste multiple serial numbers in one go.

I have attached a screen capture below showing the point at which we'd like to import/upload the serials from file. Or copy & paste multiple.

In a way, this is a similar post to this one - Serial Number Import Macro - General Discussion - Sage 300cloud Africa and Middle East - Sage City Community. One of the replies seems to suggest Sage themselves already have such a macro but our attempts to contact them have been futile.

Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated
