Calculated fields in user defined reports not totalling

I've created a basic calculated field in Timeslips 2017. I have edited a user defined detailed slip report. The field is [Slip:Billable Slip Value] - [Slip:Profitability: Billed SV - Slip Value]. The field is also filtered on slip type = time.

1) Currently, if there is no data to return (because the slip it is reporting on is an expense) then it returns nothing. How do I get it to show 0.00?

2) If there is any null data then the entire column won't total. How do I get it to total?

Many thanks for any help.

Just to add that I have played around with the totalling options for the field. This seems to work sporadically. Sometimes it will return the data. Sometimes it will return it but not obey the field selection rule (time slips only rather than expenses).

If you don't want to know the information for expense slips, try not filtering the calculated field, but filter for Slip Type on the report itself. That might help.

Thanks but I use this calculated field elsewhere on the same report and filter that column on expense.

I've been working around it by adding and taking away various fields to get what I need and, just as I think I have cracked it, Timeslips throws another curve ball. Like the slip that's worth 19.80, everything on and around the slip says it's 19.80 but it's reported as 20! It's not rounding because everything else on the report is rounded and works fine.

None of this would be an issue if I could use Original Slip Value stated on the slip so I could use Billable Value to show what the slip will be billed at. As it is, Slip Value is the same as billed value.

Even that wouldn't be an issue if null values could be reported as 0.00 so that I could use field display criteria and the totalling would work.

Every reporting tool I use I can get 98% there except for this billable/billed value stuff which renders the report 100% useless if it's not reporting the correct amounts.

    *sigh*
