First off, let's make sure you need to enable the Outlook link at all.  The VAST majority of Timeslips users do not. So just checking.

What are you looking to gain by enabling the link? Are you looking to synchronize Contact and names and create slips from Outlook?

Know that the link has nothing to do with emailing bills. That is a different setting.

I have the Outlook Link feature selected, and I use it all the time whenever I open a new client file. But the button to enable the link in the Outlook Link Dialog Box remains grayed out--inactive. So, your suggestions did not solve my problem, but thank you for your responses.

Thank you for the reply RMShortley. We just sometimes spend a lot of time chasing this when what the user really wants is to email the bills.  So we are just checking on that first.

So, it appears that you have been using the feature previously.  Was that on an other PC? Is this a new PC for you? Or has it been working and suddenly stopped?

In outlook you need to go to add-ins and make sure the add-in Is enabled. 

It has worked in the past on this computer. And, I can't identify my current problem.

The Timeslips Add-In is active. I didn't mention that I use a Microsoft Exchange email account hosted by a commercial vendor, but this has not effected me in the past.

Sorry without eyes on I am out of ideas.

RMShortley, the good news is that you have Premium, and so then should be entitled to some level of technical support.  I'd use that if I were you.  Be ready for them to say it's not Timeslips, it is Outlook though!

Have you loaded all the Microsoft patches for your OS and Office? A patch might fix that.  Or did you load a patch recently? Might have broken the link. :-) Gotta love how that can go either way. 

Might try a repair on Outlook to reset the add-in.  Or take it out and put it back in.  The link works off a DLL and those can be hard to troubleshoot because they usually don't give good error messages.  Just sort of work or don't.  As you are seeing here.
