    Hi  Zhiwei Liu ,

Thanks for reaching out. If your existing installation has expired and you're looking for an extension of the license. Please follow the steps below:

If you plan on reinstalling the software, check / do the following steps:

    1. Open Windows Explorer
    2. Go to Documents, Public Documents, Sage Software, Simply Accounting
      1. The default location should be: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Sage Software\Simply Accounting
    3. Delete the year you are working with.
    4. Uninstall Sage 50, the same year you deleted in the step above.
    5. Reinstall from C:\ Sage\ Sage50 [version] Installer Files - CDN Release [Year]
    6. Enter the correct serial number for the year being installed.
    7. Activate with correct codes.

    Hi  ,

Update from the team who pointed me to this article with additional details.

It seems that your data file has been created in a version of Sage 50 that is over 14 months old, and hence, it has expired. To resolve this issue, you will need to obtain a new educational version from Sage or have the original creator of the file—whether it's your publisher or teacher—convert the files to the current educational version you have.

If you have already requested your activation codes and have not received them, please check your spam or junk email folders, as the email might have been filtered there. If it’s not there, you should contact Sage directly at [email protected] and inform them about which version/year of Sage 50 you require.

Remember, if your educational version has expired and you're facing issues with re-registration, especially after installing a trial version, the suggested steps are to uninstall the student version, run the Sage 50 Canadian Edition Student Version Cleanup Tool, and then reinstall and register your student version again.

If you need further assistance, unfortunately, technical support is not provided with the educational versions of Sage 50, but you can access FAQs and online resources provided by Sage for educational purposes here: https://www.sagecity.com/support_communities/sage_students/w/sage-student-instructor-resources.

Lastly, please note that the Sage 50 Educational Version cannot be directly installed on a Mac OS, and Sage does not support installations on emulators like Parallels Desktop.

If you have any more questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact your educational institution or lecturer.

    Warm Regards,
    Erzsi
