By trying to create a backup (working on AIR assignrmnt) on Settings-company-taxes, the sysyem gives an error and allowing me to continue further:

if i srart from back up, the software shows same issue on my previous record company-credit card.

Bssically ones the error appears, it will stay on any back up file which i am trying to open.

    Hi Julia,

Thanks for reaching out. Hopefully, you already came across and tried the steps on KB 16366 titled "Error: "The program detected an error in your data when looking for information related to record. You may want to restore your latest backup." when converting data."

If during the conversion / backup restore you get the error: "The program detected an error in your data when looking for information related to record", open the .SAJ folder and look for the conversion log. The name of the .txt file will be the date and the time of the failed conversion.

Open that file and scroll to the very bottom.

If the last 2 or 3 lines reference a .sfm file, use method 3 which is to: Uninstall and reinstall the new version of Sage 50 as administrator.

If you have trouble locating the .SAJ or the conversion log, please contact support at 1-888-522-2722. Students may receive support for installation issues only. Complimentary technical support is not included with the Sage 50 student version, students are advised to contact their instructor for assistance. Hope this helps!

    Warm Regards,
