  • So where will the workers comp info show up at in Sage HRMS? Will this workers comp connect to the Workers Comp Group and Workers Comp Code in Payroll?

  • After the update, we show the new fields in the other tab of payroll for the Ethnicity (Federal) and Ethnicity (California).  However, while the Federal field has a drop down list to choose from, the California field is blank.  On the Webinar Tuesday the suggestion was to make sure our Ethnicity codes were not just in the Enterprise level, but also in the company level as well.  I moved the codes over and the California field is still blank.  Any thoughts for me?  The deadline for this report is today and we still have to manually fill out or import this field for our 200 plus employees.  Thank you!

I am not sure why Ethnicity (California) has no options in the drop down box for a U.S. employer.  I did the product update and the new field appeared with it's drop down options.  I would suggest contacting Sage HRMS Support for assistance.

A thought just occurred to me.  It might be a permissions issue.  Try logging into Sage HRMS as master or someone that is part of the master group.  If master can see the field, I would suggest reviewing your Group Security (Setup > System > Group Security)

  • in reply to Lynn C

Thanks for that Lynn!  I am a master user so that isn't it unfortunately.  I am going to keep playing around in there.  we do have an appointment set up with support.  Thanks for trying!

Melanie, I had a similar issue with the Report As drop down box on the earning/deduction code setup was blank. I spoke with Advanced support and it was because of all the files that were copied into specific folders on the server.

Access the server, go to C:\ProgramData\Sage\SageHRMSServer\Payroll\CustomReports\UP73A, if there are a bunch of files with a .DLL extension then that may be the issue.

The only .DLL files that should be here would be the ones used in the custom reports/check stocks that you may have created.

YAY!  I have actually read this article before for another issue but would have never though it would lead to missing drop down boxes!  This fixed it.  Thanks so much Joseph you just made my day.  Slight smile

Glad to hear it Melanie, good luck with your imports/updates!

    Thank you!

  • Lynn Clee (or anyone), is it expected that these new CA Pay Data reporting related fields (pg 6 of RN) are to be updated manually?  If so, why not map this information from Hrpersnl via Employee Configuration/Open Payroll process?  Binary would be a gender not avail to select in HR - could be handled manually in payroll or update HR's gender field for this third option.

FYI-  the two new fields in UPEMPL table for this reporting are EEOETHNIC (Fed) and CAEEOETHN (CA). These new fields are integer type, not char. The values, of course, don't match what you see on the screen.  For example, a Fed Ethnicity value of "J-Black or AA" is not a "J" code but is instead 10 because it is the 10th field in the drop down list.  Same concept applies to the CA Ethn field values where "C20", for example is 11.
