Is anyone running Sage 300 CRE on a server running Windows Server 2022? We are getting a new server and downgrading the operating system seems a bit counter-productive.
Might be a "Windows 11 Official Support" issue. No, it's not officially supported, but yes, it will work.
I had the same conundrum a decade ago - "no, virtualization is not supported" - sheesh. "No, Server 2012 is not supported" - yeah, no go on 2008 R2, sorry.
I'm sure I put Sage 18.x on Server 2019, for that matter.
"Don't acquire more technical debt" is a guideline we try really hard to follow, and Sage 22.x is definitely going to live on a virtualized Server 2022 instance at our shop.
We have been running Sage 300 CRE on a Windows 2022 VM since last year...
We are also planning to put it on Server 2022 in Jan 2023, I wonder whether Sage will announce the compatibility anytime soon. I have heard from a Sage provider that is should work fine, but a little more rigour around testing should be taken on a test instance for the database.
Has Sage 300 CRE been officially updated to run on Windows Server 2022. I see members have mentioned they are running but is it officially supported now?
