Sage recommends installing the year-end version prior to generating any year-end tax forms like W-2s or 1099s.

I am in the same update boat. We are on 20.3.1 and really don't want to mess with the 20.5 update if we don't have to. Reading the release notes, it doesn't appear there are any changes that would affect us, unless I am missing something.

I agree.  I read them also and it really doesn't apply to us.  It looks like its for the forms and it is CT?

I don't see any reason to upgrade since Aatrix handles all the PR and AP forms.  I have personally pushed off clients until Q1 release in 2022.
