Payroll Entry

I am entering paroll manually everyweek from an Access report.  Now that we are growing quickly this has become big job.  Played around with Importing time entries but without much success.  Can anyone recommend another software we could use to compile the time entry then import into Payroll.  We have PR create job entries as well, but not equipment entries.

  • We used access to collect info for payroll for years.  We had a report that we wrote that took the fields and exported them in the order and with the info so we could import into payroll.  Worked wonderfully.  We have since switched to mySQL database as our backend for collecting the info.

    The key is to set up an import layout that you will use and then setup the report in access to match it in a CSV format.

  • We started using HH2 in the fall of 2020 and it has worked out great.  Everyone in the office submits their own time and Superintendents can submit time for any person assigned to their crew.  There's a txt export file you generate out of HH2 and import it to Sage 300CRE.  We save at least an hour or two each week on rekeying data and more when you factor in the time saving on reviewing/correcting data entry errors.  Price point is very reasonable and scales with the number of employees.
