How do you create a prenote file for electronic payments?

Would we have to create a $1 invoice to create a prenote?

    Hi Brenda. You would go into the 4-4 record for that Vendor, then under the ACH Payment Setup tab enable ACH payment, then set the ACH Account Status to 1-Prenote and enter in the rest of the setup information. Then create a $1.00 invoice for that vendor, set to pay, then pay just that invoice using the ACH payment method, This will create a prenote ACH file to send to the bank. The invoice will remain in Open status so you would then void it out. In the vendor record, click Edit Banking Information, then change the ACH Account Status to 3-Active once the pre-note clears.
