Setting up Auto-Fill for Inventory Items

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to have certain inventory account numbers auto-fill. For example, I have a subaccount cell for commercial or residential jobs on screen 12-2 (Inventory Allocation). The jobs are marked commercial or residential in the initial job set up. How can I get that to auto-fill. I would like to cut down on the number of key strokes especially when the categories are repeated for each entry.

I have the same issue with "Account", "Cost Code", and "Cost Type." I don't have administrative access, but the woman who does suggested come to this site for answers.

While I'm here, I have a drop down box that I would like to use a key-stroke for, but I am forced to use the mouse for that one action. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to set that up to accept a key stroke?

    You can only use one GL account for inventory (the asset) and it cannot have subaccounts.  For booking to job materials expense, if you use departments on your jobs and general ledger then the subaccount does auto fill with that job's department.
