Federal Income Tax change mid year?

Did anyone else notice a change in the Federal Income Tax Withholdings after the latest update? I noticed starting around June 10th that the exact same salaried individuals had a FIT change and all deductions and liabilities are exactly the same. Doesn't make any sense. No withholdings were changed or anything.

Hi Lisa. What version did you upgrade from? The 2022 tax tables were not updated until the January 2022 release (23.3.34) this year as the IRS was late posting the updated tables. Normally updates come out in December tax update. If you were on the December 2021 update version (23.3.23) or lower and jumped to the latest version, you would just now be seeing the Federal tax changes.

We updated at the end of the year and have also had a couple updates since then.

We are on Sage 300 CRE 23.3.34 and back a month or so ago, the same happened to us. The federal withholding changed and I don't understand why that would be.

Don't forget the amounts withheld are also affected by whether you used the W-4 tab instead of the marital status and allowances on the calculation tab.
