Balance Sheets ran for same period don't match

We use Sage 50 Quantum. I ran a balance sheet for period ending 12/31/20 back on February 24th 2021. Today I ran the balance sheet for the same period 12/31/20 and the retained earnings GL is different from the report I ran in February. I am wondering if there is a glitch in my financial statement or if somehow a transaction in a previous year was corrupted or reversed. Has anyone seen this happen or know a fix? The difference between the two reports is a dividend from 2019 - but I dont know how it is somehow showing up all of a sudden

Thanks so much! I'll be contacting support. several years ago they did an integrity check - i remember how that goes. I'm guessing somehow there was a reversal or a glitch in the 2019 year-end close.…

What type of account is Dividends? Gets closed? Or never close? Did they type change?

The Dividend account is Gets Closed, i checked and it's still a Gets Closed account.

I would run Data Verification. If it comes back with a lot of errors, run it again but DO NOT WRITE over your original backup.

Then you need to run integrity checks. Please contact Sage and ask for support or we can remote in and help you but there would be a fee for out services.

I would not suggest running these without support. You can destroy your database.
