Is there a way to run a report showing Monthly Balance Sheet's for a given Fiscal Year vs running the BS report twelve different times?

SOLVED

I am wanting to do some monthly Balance Sheet Analysis for past years and was wanting a report showing the ending Balance Sheet amount for each month in a year instead of having to manually trying to compile twelve different reports, Is there a fairly easy way to do this?

Yes, there is an easy way to build a 12 month balance sheet.

    • Open the report <Standard> Income - 12 Period and click the Design button.
    • In the Design window right-click the grey "Column Desc" button and choose Copy. Then close the design window.
    • Open the balance sheet format you want to use as your starting point and click the Design button.
    • Right-click the grey "Column Desc" button and choose Paste.
    • Right-click the grey "Column Desc" button on the line you just pasted into the report and choose Properties.
    • Change the Contents for each of the 12 period columns from "Activity" to "Balance". Click OK.
    • Right-click the original "Column Desc" button and choose Delete.
    • Click the Preview button and set both the From and To dates to the 12th period you want to report on. Assuming you want to report on calendar year 2021, "From" will be 12/01/2021 and "To" will be 12/31/2021. Click OK to view the report.
    • Click the Save button and give the report a new name.
