You need to slip the 1099 NEC form into the forms folder if you are running it from the vendor window.  If running on Aatrix, through payroll, it should be working. 

I am not sure when or how Sage is going to release the form, but Best Business Strategies will be designing the form and we will give it to anyone the purchases 1099 NEC forms from us.  Others may purchase the layout for $25 but we will refund the money if you purchase any form from us in the future including checks, deposit slips, or envelopes.

I had the same problem. I went into Accounts Payable forms tab, Tax forms, payroll tax forms and you will then find it from the drop down list. They need to be on a 4 up perforated form like the W2's. I ordered the wrong forms and now have to order the correct ones. Good Luck.

Yes, I have the payroll module. I found the 1099 NEC to print from the payroll module however I ordered the wrong forms back in October. I have reordered the correct forms today. Thank you.

What I found was I had to go to Forms, Payroll tax forms and then let Aatrix download and update the forms.  If I accessed the 1099NEC form from payroll it comes up as the 4 up forms.  However, this link in the Sage Knowledge base has the 2 per page layout that if you download these three forms and then copy them to the forms folder in the Sage Company folder, they will then show up when you go to Forms, Tax Forms and then you can print the 2 per page form.  Sage has really kind of fumbled the ball on this letting people know what exactly they need to do to print 1099Nec's.  One should not have to waste so much time just trying to figure out how to do something so basic.  I've been using Sage for probably twenty years so I'm not a novice....

Tom was just helping as I had purchased the preprinted 1099NEC forms and now cannot use them if I use the Aatrix payroll download through payroll. I have reordered the correct forms but it is just upsetting that I had to spend extra money I don't have on additional forms. Sage needs to be clearer on what forms are needed well in advance as I purchased my tax forms in October 2020.

Jerry, I had read Sages "important info on year end updates" that you linked above (within 24 hours of it coming out) and that only told half the story, because when I tried to run 1099's after doing what they said, the new forms were not showing up.  They might should try following their own directions prior to putting this stuff out and they will realize their instructions are incomplete.  When we are paying as much as we do for Sage, I expect a superior product and superior support. We didn't get it.
