ShipGear compatibility question with Sage 2020.1

SOLVED

We use Sage 50 Quantum Account 2019 (Build 26.1.00.0229) on a Windows 2012r2 server.  We recently got the popup message below saying that our current version of Sage 50 will no longer be supported.

I'm fine with upgrading, but the problem is that we use ShipGear, and ShipGear support told us to not upgrade yet to Sage 2020 because other ShipGear customers have been experiencing problems.  So I have been holding off in the upgrade.  Has anyone successfully been using Shipgear with the newest Sage 50 version?  Has anyone had problems?

Is there a middle ground where I can upgrade to a supported Sage version that is not the newest one, but still compatible with ShipGear?

Thanks for the info.

Sage would prefer that you upgrade, but you are in compliance with 2020 and 2019, until March 3, 2020. If you click on the hotlink in the above note, View Sage 50 Obsolescence Policy, it will show this to you.

"Sage's Obsolescence Policy is to support the current release of a particular product, and in most cases, the prior two releases, for a reasonable period of time to be determined by Sage"

After March 3, 2020, the following will not function in Sage 50 2019.

What are the add-on products that stop working after the obsolescence date?

    1. Program updates
    2. Tax updates
    3. Tax form updates
    4. Direct Deposit
    5. Sync with Managed Payroll
    6. Credit card processing

Will ShipGear have issue fixed in 30 days? Are you using CC processing? Payroll? Direct Deposit?

I am a reseller of many products but ShipGear only works directly with the customer.  I don't think we can help you in this forum as we don't have a relationship with that company.

I do sell a different shipping program.  If you are interested in looking at other shipping software, please feel free to reach out to me.  I will set up a demo for you.

Thanks, I contacted ShipGear and they said that the issues some customers were having with Sage 50 version 2020.1 have been resolved, so I believe I am safe to upgrade.
