They just like to check the licenses.  If you have a 10 user license it should only be installed on 10 machines.

We have 15 users.  No changes made in years. Same client users.  No reason for this to popup.

Just got off phone with a GREAT Sage Support rep - Scott in Portland OR.  Best service call ever with Sage. (if it works)

We reactivated licenses from the server. (Help->Sage 50 Activating, Licensing, etc.) 

Appears to work. Though I can't verify on the laptop of the original problem user.  He took his laptop home for the weekend!!   I'll have him try remotely.

I am sorry,  I did not know that you didn't get a pop up activation screen.    Yes, always activate from the server and you should not have to activate the other licenses if they are mapped from the server to each client machine.  Laptops not in the network will need activated also. 

This may happen again, especially if it is around the time you purchased your original license. 

This is a constant irritant.  Currently on hold for this very issue with Sage 2020.  Server is activated - unable to activate workstations.

How did you install the software?   With a download to each machine or did you remote into the server and click on the peachtree installer folder?
