If you are running this year's 1099 Stand-alone server update on Sage 500 ERP version 2016 and are using SQL Server version 2014 or greater, you will need to re-download the server update to resolve the issue.

Under these conditions, you will get a message when trying to login to the server for the update indicating that it cannot connect because the SQL Server version is not supported.

Downloading the newly refreshed version should resolve the issue.

This will not be an issue for those who are using SQL Server 2012 or prior.
