Reverse a posted journal entry

Hello,
Is there a way to reverse a journal entry in Sage? (Sage 500 ERP 2014 January 2015 Update (Version 7.60.5.0)).  I'm not referring to an auto-reversing entry; the situation is - someone posts a journal entry with many lines and then it is discovered to be incorrect.  Is there a way to find the journal number/batch and click a button to reverse the entry?  Or do you always have to manually create the opposite of the entry in order to reverse it?  The manual process can be very cumbersome when the original entry was long/big.

Thanks for your help!

You could use Explore GL Transactions to find the journal lines, export from the BIE task to Excel, and then use Data Porter, Data Import Manager, or the native GL Import task to import the reversing entry. Depending on which import tool you use you will have to change the format of the file layout. Regardless of which method you will want to assign the next JE number and change the signs on each post amount to reverse the original posting.

Thank you for the reply, but I was hoping for an actual "reverse" option within Sage. I can't see one, but was hoping I just hadn't found it yet. The process you describe is what we use to reverse the entry, but it's still manually creating a reverse of the original entry.
