Secondary Bin Location Issue

Hey,

I'm working on a project for a distributor who is struggling to record secondary bin locations. We hit upon the idea to use virtual warehouses to record the secondary and tertiary locations. We then would customize our put away and picking sheets to bring the field into the report if data is loaded for that warehouse/bin field.  Has anyone here used this idea? Does it sound like a feasible work around on the Sage bin position limitations?
